I meet with people one or more times per week depending on whether you are seeking symptom relief or deeper internal change. Areas of focus and experience include anxiety, depression, trauma, intimate relationship dynamics, issues related to family of origin, gender & sexuality, parenting, major life transitions, identity formation, grief & loss, spirituality, caregiving and end of life.
I meet with couples one time per week for 90 minutes. My work is informed by the psychobiological approach to couple therapy (PACT). PACT is an experiential based therapy that combines neuroscience, arousal regulation, and attachment theory to help partners understand how their earliest relationships with caregivers are showing up in their relationship with each other. In bringing greater awareness to the impact of old patterns and engaging in new practices, we will work together to build connection, security and safety. I enjoy working with couples of all backgrounds and particularly with Queer couples.
Arriving into older adulthood in the US can feel like standing at the edge of a cliff. Our collective fears around aging, illness and death obstruct our ability to grow into our older selves and recognize our value. Every decade of our lives have developmental tasks that usher us from one stage to the next and contribute to the whole of society. I offer support in making this sacred passage and navigating the many transitions that it entails.
Professional consultation is offered to licensed clinicians or other healthcare professionals around caregiving, aging, end of life, gender & sexuality, cultural humility, working across difference, whiteness and deepening understanding of client experience.
"I poise alertly and open my senses to try to read the air, the clouds, the sun's slant, the little movements of the animals, all in the hope I will learn the secret of whether I am loved..." Louise Erdrich, The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse
